Historique
Château construit de 1648 à 1660 à la place d'un château féodal détruit en 1628 sur l'ordre de Richelieu. L'édifice est formé d'un corps de logis rectangulaire flanqué de deux grands pavillons carrés en saillie. Un fronton et un clocheton surmontent la partie centrale. Le fronton porte les armoiries des Rabodanges : écartelé au 1 et 4 d'or à la croix ancrée de gueules au 2 et 3 de gueules à coquilles d'or. Il est accompagné de deux anges tenant un rabot. A l'intérieur, bel escalier de pierre garni d'une rampe en fer forgé. Toutes les boiseries ont été refaites entre les deux guerres. A l'arrière, deux pavillons carrés renferment, l'un l'ancienne chapelle, l'autre l'habitation du chapelain. La chapelle a conservé une partie de son décor peint. Devant le château, les grilles seraient l'oeuvre de Chrétien, grand ferronnier normand.

History
Castle built from 1648 to 1660 in place of a feudal castle destroyed in 1628 on the orders of Richelieu. The building consists of a rectangular main dwelling flanked by two large square pavilions projecting. A pediment and a small bell turret surmount the central part. The pediment bears the arms of the Rabodanges: quarterly 1 and 4 or with an anchored cross gules 2 and 3 gules with or shells. It is accompanied by two angels holding a plane. Inside, fine stone staircase fitted with an iron-forged railing. All the woodwork was redone between the two wars. At the rear, two square pavilions contain, one the former chapel, the other the chaplain's residence. The chapel has retained part of its painted decoration. In front of the castle, the gates are said to be the work of Chrétien, great Norman ironworker.
