L'église fut longtemps désignée sous le nom de Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Harou. La partie la plus ancienne appartenait à l'abbaye de Moutiers et se retrouve dans les parties basses de l'église, et le portail à colonnes et chapiteaux. De la même époque apparaît également, au chevet de l'édifice, un bâtiment semi-circulaire qui a dû servir autrefois de chapelle. Des peintures murales remontant au 13e siècle ont été trouvées sur la voûte de cette pièce, le Christ étant entouré des Evangélistes et de leurs attributs. D'autres peintures peuvent remonter au 15e siècle. A l'extérieur, le côté nord remontant au 14e siècle est traité par un système de pignons axés perpendiculairement sur la nef centrale, selon une disposition fréquente dans les églises de la région pour la même époque. History
The church was long designated under the name of Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Harou. The oldest part belonged to the abbey of Moutiers and is found in the lower parts of the church, and the portal with columns and capitals. From the same period also appears, at the chevet of the building, a semi-circular building which must formerly have served as a chapel. Mural paintings dating back to the 13th century were found on the vault of this room, with Christ surrounded by the Evangelists and their attributes. Other paintings may date back to the 15th century. On the exterior, the north side dating from the 14th century is treated by a system of gables axed perpendicularly on the central nave, according to a disposition frequent in the churches of the region for the same period. The south side could date from the 15th century, pierced with windows with branching mullions at the springing of the ogive.
