Reconstruite au 18e siècle à l'emplacement actuel, la forge d'Aube est le remarquable témoin d'une activité triséculaire. Elle entra en service dans la première moitié du 16e siècle. Le site a conservé son outillage (foyers d'affinerie, foyer de chaufferie et marteau hydraulique, avec la roue à cames). A côté des logements d'ouvriers et des ateliers annexes, le bâtiment de l'affinerie est spectaculaire, avec son toit d'où émergent trois cheminées en pyramides tronquées des foyers d'affinerie et de la chaufferie. La forge d'Aube a cessé de fonctionner en 1939. Elle a été acquise par la commune en 1980.

History
Rebuilt in the 18th century at its present location, the forge of Aube is the remarkable witness of a three-hundred-year activity. It entered service in the first half of the 16th century. Layers of slag, revealed during excavations, demonstrate the original activity of a blast furnace. Since the 17th century, cast iron came from Saint-Pierre-des-Loges, at a short distance.
