Donjon carré construit à la fin du 11e siècle ; enceinte construite aux 16e et 17e siècles sur l'emplacement de courtines plus anciennes. Pendant la guerre de Cent ans, le château connaît des travaux de défenses et de renforcement des bâtiments. Au début du 18e siècle, le château voit la reconstruction de ses tours et la transformation du donjon en ouvrage d'artillerie. Au 19e siècle, le château sert de caserne.

History
Square keep built at the end of the 11th century; curtain wall built in the 16th and 17th centuries on the site of older curtains. During the Hundred Years' War, the castle underwent work on defences and reinforcement of the buildings. In the early 18th century, the castle saw the reconstruction of its towers and the transformation of the keep into an artillery work. In the 19th century, the castle served as a barracks.
