Le château du Grand-Lucé a été construit en 1760 par l'architecte M. de Bayeux, entre le bourg et un grand parc. L'ensemble est composé de trois parties distinctes : les communs, groupés autour d'une cour de ferme ; le château construit entre la cour d'honneur (séparée de la Petite-Place du bourg par un mur de plan centré percé d'un grand portail) et le parc ; une orangerie monumentale à laquelle attiennent les écuries. Toutes ces constructions sont en pierre de taille et coiffées de combles en ardoise. A l'intérieur du château, subsistent quelques belles cheminées et des boiseries anciennes.

History
The castle of Grand-Lucé was built in 1760 by the architect M. de Bayeux, between the borough and a large park. The whole is composed of three distinct parts: the outbuildings, grouped around a farm courtyard; the castle built between the courtyard of honour (separated from the Petite-Place of the borough by a wall of centred plan pierced with a large gateway) and the park; a monumental orangery to which stables are attached. All these constructions are in dressed stone and topped with roof spaces in slate. Inside the castle, some fine fireplaces and old panelling remain.
