Historique
Cet ancien couvent, fondé en 1646, bénéficia de la protection de la famille du Puy-du-Fou. L'édifice conserve la plupart de ses bâtiments d'origine (bâtiments claustraux de 1651) avec leurs dispositions intérieures, à l'exception de l'aile ouest remaniée lors de la construction d'une chapelle en 1837. A l'intérieur, remarquable escalier en bois à quatre noyaux et volées droites, situé à l'extrémité ouest de l'aile nord. Riche décor sculpté : suite de clefs et de médaillons sculptés dans les écoinçons des arcades du cloître. L'une des cellules a conservé son parquet primitif.

History
This former convent, founded in 1646, benefited from the protection of the family of Puy-du-Fou. The building preserves most of its original buildings (claustral buildings of 1651) with their internal layouts, except for the west wing remodelled during the construction of a chapel in 1837. Inside, a remarkable wooden staircase with four newels and straight flights, located at the west end of the north wing. Rich sculpted decoration: a sequence of keys and medallions sculpted in the spandrels of the cloister arcades. One of the cells has retained its original parquet floor.
