Le moulin à vent, à farine, de la Tranchée date du 18e siècle. De type cavier angevin, il domine la Loire, au coeur du vignoble saumurois. Il présente une masse de plan polygonal parementée en tuffeau entourée de contreforts. Le massereau, également en tuffeau, qui supporte la hucherolle est particulièrement soigné. History
The windmill, flour mill, of La Tranchée dates from the 18th century. Of the Angevin cavier type, it overlooks the Loire, in the heart of the Saumur vineyards. It presents a mass of polygonal plan faced in tuffeau and surrounded by buttresses. The massereau, also in tuffeau, which supports the hood is particularly carefully finished. Besides the main cellar leading to the millstone room, it comprises two other cellars for use as dwelling and stable.
