Le château a été construit dans les années 1660, le seul épargné dans les Mauges lors des guerres révolutionnaires. L'ensemble comprend des jardins à la française clos de douves, des communs (des 17e et 18e siècles) , deux pavillons de cour et un réseau orthogonal de douves. History
The castle was built in the 1660s, the only one spared in the Mauges during the Revolutionary wars. The whole comprises French gardens enclosed by moats, outbuildings (from the 17th and 18th centuries), two court pavilions and an orthogonal network of moats. Modifications were made in the 19th century, including the intendant's house and the Sainte-Sophie chapel, called "enfeu of the Gibots" in 1846.
