History
Vast fortified complex of the 15th-16th centuries with courtyard, farmyard and garden, surrounded by moats, Saint-Hénis owes its origins to the great Angevin families of Mathefelon and d'Andigné, in the particular context of the wars of religion at the end of the 16th century around the stronghold of Craon. The outbuildings were restored in the course of the 19th century.
