Portant les armes sculptées des seigneurs du Châtelier, à Bouée, il fut probablement leur moulin banal, dès le début 16e siècle. Sur le même motif est gravée une date dont les deux premier chiffres sont 15 et les deux derniers, aujourd'hui illisibles, supposés être 07. Ce moulin, bel exemple de "petit-pied", ou "coquetier" breton, construit en moellons de granite, offre un rez-de-chaussée étroit à assise débordante, avec étage en encorbellement. Un évidemment rectangulaire, visible dans la paroi nord interne, permettait de poser l'échelle d'accès à l'étage. A cet ultime niveau, se trouvait la seule paire de meule, éclairée par deux portes-fenêtres diamétralement opposées, rehaussées au 19e siècle. Celle de l'Est conserve deux consoles en granite qui recevaient un treuil servant à monter et descendre les sacs de blé et de farine. Le moulin fut équipé d'ailes Berton au cours de la seconde moitié du 19e siècle. Celles-ci ayant été détruites par une tempête, il cessa de fonctionner en 1950 et ses mécanismes furent vendus. Il a été restauré en 1980, les bardeaux de son ancienne toiture étant remplacé par de l'ardoise.

History
Bearing the sculpted arms of the lords of Châtelier, at Bouée, it was probably their banal mill from the early 16th century. On the same motif is engraved a date of which the first two digits are 15 and the last two, now illegible, are supposed to be 07. This mill, a fine example of a Breton "petit-pied" or "coquetier", constructed in granite rubble stone, offers a narrow ground floor with projecting plinth, with an upper storey in corbelling. A rectangular hollow, visible in the internal north wall, allowed for positioning the ladder for access to the upper storey. At this last level was found the only pair of millstones, lit by two French windows diametrically opposed, raised in the 19th century. The eastern one retains two granite consoles which received a winch used to raise and lower sacks of wheat and flour. The mill was equipped with Berton sails in the second half of the 19th century. These being destroyed by a storm, it ceased functioning in 1950 and its mechanisms were sold. It was restored in 1980, the shingles of its former roof being replaced with slate.
