L'ensemble comprend le château, les communs, les fermes, la tannerie, la maison de jardinier, deux chapelles (dont une néo-gothique) et le parc qui s'étend sur onze hectares devant et derrière le château, avec une pièce d'eau, un potager, une prairie et des bouquets d'arbres ; l'autre partie du parc, en deçà de la route d'Oxelaere, est plus boisée, plus sauvage, avec un étang et des îles.

History
The château, a large building without real character, dates from the 1840s; its construction, as well as the laying out of the park, was due to Edouard Bosquillon de Jenlis, who was chief engineer of the port of Dunkerque. The ensemble comprises the château, outbuildings, farms, the tannery, the gardener's house, two chapels (one of which is neo-Gothic) and the park which extends over eleven hectares in front of and behind the château, with a pond, a kitchen garden, a meadow and groups of trees; the other part of the park, on this side of the road to Oxelaere, is more wooded, wilder, with a pond and islands.
