Le Palais Rameau est une construction aux dimensions monumentales initialement destinée à recevoir des expositions horticoles, financée par la donation de Charles Rameau, célèbre agronome. The Palais Rameau is a construction of monumental dimensions initially intended to receive horticultural exhibitions, financed by the donation of Charles Rameau, celebrated agronomist. This discreetly neo-Moorish ensemble was constructed between 1875 and 1879 by architects who took up architectural formulae developed in the preceding decades. This metal-frame architecture is inscribed in an original way into the urban planning of Lille in the 19th century. In 1953, the bulbs which surmounted the palace were replaced by pyramidions.
