History
The works, dating from the late 19th century, comprised a dwelling house, a timber storage hall and a water wheel room. On the ground floor of the dwelling, there was a large upper forge and, in the adjacent hall, a small upper forge with machinery in the basement which also housed the water wheel and its gearing. The property was devastated in December 1993 by a fire, and the remaining ruins were demolished at the end of 1995.
