L'équipement du carreau s'achève en 1948 avec la construction du chevalement-tour du puits 1 édifié par l'entreprise Barbier, Bernard et Turenne de Quiévrechain (59) pour les Houillères du Bassin de Lorraine. D'une hauteur de 58 m, le chevalement métallique comprend deux compartiments d'extraction, avec deux machines disposées au sommet.

History
The sinking of the two wells by cementation was undertaken in 1931 for the Saint-Avold Mines Company which ensured exploitation from 1942 onwards. The equipment of the pit head was completed in 1948 with the construction of the headframe tower of pit 1 erected by the company Barbier, Bernard and Turenne of Quiévrechain (59) for the Houillères du Bassin de Lorraine.
