Monument in the form of an open-air rotunda, erected in 1930 by the American government (American Battle Monuments Commission), following the designs of architect Egerton Swartwout, to commemorate the reduction of the Saint-Mihiel salient by American troops during the First World War. Monument damaged during the fighting of 1944 and restored in 1948.
