Immeuble de la place Stanislas érigé en 1753 par Jean-François de La Borde. Cet immeuble a abrité successivement des fonctions diverses avant de devenir un opéra au début du 20e siècle. History
Building of the place Stanislas erected in 1753 by Jean-François de La Borde. This building successively housed various functions before becoming an opera in the early 20th century. Architect Joseph Hornecker carried out, from 1909 to 1919, a French-style hall, an Italian-style stage and German-style machinery using the modern techniques of electricity and concrete. The concrete structure is concealed beneath ornamental plating inspired by the Opéra Garnier.
