Cet immeuble de rapport fut construit en 1902-1904 par Emile André pour l'entrepreneur France-Lanord, l'un des premiers en France à utiliser le béton armé. La façade est animée par deux avant-corps latéraux et une coursière qui, à la différence de celle de l'édifice voisin, porte un balcon. La décoration végétale est abondante et diversifiée : algues, fougères, chardons et fleurs stylisées. La partie haute de la maison témoigne une influence de l'architecture strasbourgeoise et flamande.

History
This residential building was constructed in 1902-1904 by Emile André for the contractor France-Lanord, one of the first in France to use reinforced concrete. The façade is animated by two lateral avant-corps and a coursière which, unlike that of the neighbouring building, bears a balcony. The vegetable decoration is abundant and varied: seaweed, ferns, thistles and stylised flowers. The upper part of the building testifies to the influence of Strasbourg and Flemish architecture.
