Occupation militaire attestée dès le 12e siècle. La maison forte (plan en U) daterait de la fin du 15e ou du début du 16e siècle. Mur d'enceinte construit dans la seconde moitié du 17e siècle (rempart bastionné). Transformation au 18e siècle (logis adossé au mur sud). Sous l'aile ouest se trouvent des caves voûtées datant du 16e siècle. Malgré les remaniements successifs, le château conserve la composition du 16e siècle.

History
Military occupation attested from the 12th century onwards. The fortified house (U-shaped plan) would date from the late 15th or early 16th century. Enclosure wall built in the second half of the 17th century (bastioned rampart). Transformation in the 18th century (main dwelling built against the south wall). Beneath the west wing are vaulted cellars dating from the 16th century. Despite successive alterations, the château retains the composition of the 16th century.
