Historique
Le château Aubéry est représentatif du désir de gloire et de fortune de l'un des plus riches industriels de la Martinique au début du 20e siècle, Eugène Aubéry. Le château est construit sur les plans de l'architecte Germain Olivier entre 1928 et 1930. En 1931, le domaine comprenait : une vaste maison en ciment armé, une grande dépendance, plusieurs autres bâtiments à usage de garage, une cuisine, un poulailler..., un grand jardin et un verger. Le château a été occupé par l'Ecole Normale en 1956, puis par le ministère de l'Agriculture. De style Art Déco, il conserve de nombreux témoignages de cette époque : décor en stuc, baignoires, carrelage, ferronnerie. Il est actuellement dans un état de dégradation avancé.

History
Château Aubéry is representative of the desire for glory and fortune of one of the richest industrialists in Martinique in the early 20th century, Eugène Aubéry. The château was built according to the plans of architect Germain Olivier between 1928 and 1930.
