L'église primitive devait dater du 11e siècle et se présentait comme une nef simple se terminant par une abside en hémicycle. History
The primitive church must date from the 11th century and presented itself as a simple nave ending in a hemicycle apse. This first church belonged to the monastery of nuns built at the same period at Beaumont. The Wars of Religion put an end to this monastery and the monastic chapel became a parish church. Around 1450, work was carried out and the funerary chapel of the lords of Rouhet was built. The vault under the bell tower was rebuilt at the same period. The Romanesque vault was replaced by a rib vault with eight ribs. The nave was vaulted. A north aisle was added in the 19th century, corresponding to the one on the south side.
