Historique
Fondation cistercienne de la seconde moitié du 12e siècle. De l'édifice primitif ne subsistent que peu d'éléments, l'abbaye ayant été incendiée dès la fin du 13e siècle, puis en 1462 par les Anglais et en 1574 lors des guerres de Religion. Les bâtiments sont à l'abandon au début du 17e siècle. En 1623, les Châteliers sont unis à la congrégation de l'Oratoire. Des matériaux de démolition des bâtiments abbatiaux sont utilisés à la construction du fort de la Prée. Les bâtiments abbatiaux, disposés au nord, ont été redécouverts par des campagnes de fouilles menées à partir de 1967. Ils étaient disposés autour d'un cloître, au nord de l'église qui comportait une nef à vaisseau unique.

History
Cistercian foundation of the second half of the 12th century. Few elements remain from the original building, the abbey having been burnt down at the end of the 13th century, then in 1462 by the English and in 1574 during the Wars of Religion. The buildings were abandoned in the early 17th century. In 1623, the Châteliers were united with the Oratory congregation. Materials from the demolition of the abbey buildings were used in the construction of the fort of la Prée. The abbey buildings, arranged to the north, were rediscovered by excavation campaigns conducted from 1967 onwards. They were arranged around a cloister, to the north of the church which comprised a nave with a single vessel.
