Originally, the church was in the form of a Latin cross whose apex was formed by a circular apse, two lateral chapels forming the arms of the cross. The present plan is a rectangle composed of several lateral chapels and two gables on the façade. The main portal and the bell tower are Romanesque. The latter forms a dome over the transept. Only the right chapel has retained its primitive Romanesque vault, in the form of a barrel vault. The east end of the nave is closed by a rectangular wall pierced with a Renaissance window, and is surmounted by a very acute gable. Four lancet windows opened as loop-holes light this part of the monument. In the west part of the nave, a niche built in relief on one face of one of the pillars supporting the bell tower, is decorated with medallions representing historical figures (Louis XI, François Ier...). The pinnacle of this niche appears to represent an exploit of arms. On the outside, the façade consists of two gables with two doors giving access to the building. Each part is of a distinct epoch and style. The main portal is Romanesque. It is formed by five arcatures decorated with symbolic sculptures. The Renaissance portal is formed by a flat arch framed by two columns and very elaborate sculptures. A very ornate tympanum, with two niches hollowed out in a shell shape, surmounts it. The bell tower is a square tower with two storeys, the first Romanesque, the second Renaissance. Each of the faces is decorated with colonnades supporting archivolts in the centre of which are pierced geminate windows.
