Cet édifice dépendit de l'ancien diocèse de Poitiers et appartint à l'abbaye de Nanteuil. Il subit les aléas des guerres de Religion. La voûte en pierre s'est effondrée et a été remplacée par une voûte en bois. Le clocher a été refait à la fin du 19e siècle (1878). L'édifice est de plan basilical et se termine par une abside en cul de four avec deux absidioles.

History
This building depended on the former diocese of Poitiers and belonged to the abbey of Nanteuil. It suffered the hazards of the Wars of Religion. The stone vault collapsed and was replaced by a timber vault. The bell tower was remade in the late 19th century (1878). The building is of basilical plan and ends with an apse in cul de four with two absidioles.
