Dès le 8e siècle, Torsac était le siège d'un archiprêtré de l'ancien diocèse d'Angoulême. L'église n'a rien conservé de cette époque. La nef date de la fin du 12e siècle, le transept et l'abside du milieu du même siècle. Une tribune a été aménagée à l'ouest au 16e siècle. Les peintures du 15e siècle ornant le cul de four de l'abside représentent le Christ en majesté. Le carré du transept est surmonté d'une coupole sur trompes. Les croisillons sous berceaux ont une absidiole semi-circulaire, couverte en cul de four. Chapiteaux sculptés (personnage jouant de la harpe face à un oiseau...). La façade a été remaniée à la fin du 15e siècle. Le clocher est placé au-dessus de la coupole.

History
From the 8th century, Torsac was the seat of an archpresbytery of the former diocese of Angoulême. The church has retained nothing from this period. The nave dates from the end of the 12th century, the transept and apse from the middle of the same century. A gallery was laid out to the west in the 16th century. The paintings of the 15th century adorning the cul-de-four vault of the apse represent Christ in majesty. The crossing is surmounted by a dome on squinches. The transept arms under barrel vaults have a semi-circular absidiole, covered with a cul-de-four vault. Carved capitals (figure playing the harp facing a bird...). The façade was remodelled at the end of the 15th century. The bell tower is placed above the dome.
