Historique

History
The church was a shelter for pilgrims traveling to Santiago de Compostela and served as a hiding place during the various revolutionary periods. This underground chapel is an ancient cave. The nave with a flat floor is accompanied by a narrower one to the north, having an apse at each of its ends. These two vessels are separated by two columns hewn from the rock and bearing arcades. Part of the barrel vault of the second nave has been hollowed out in such a way as to imitate a cupola. In the immediate vicinity are two excavations which could be ancient cells of a hermitage.
