Historique
La seigneurie est citée depuis le 11e siècle comme possession des Talleyrand de Périgord. En 1883, le château est légué par la famille à l'hospice de la ville. L'aile nord qui abrite le châtelet d'entrée a été reconstruite à la fin du 19e siècle. Le corps de logis en fond de cour, de plan en U, date des 15e-16e siècles. History
The seigneury is cited from the 11th century as a possession of the Talleyrand of Périgord. In 1883, the castle is bequeathed by the family to the hospice of the town. The north wing which houses the entrance gatehouse was rebuilt at the end of the 19th century. The main dwelling at the back of the courtyard, of U-shaped plan, dates from the 15th-16th centuries. A large square tower is found to the south-west of the eastern wing. Dating from the end of the 16th century, it receives like the rest of the dwelling mansard roofs remade in the 18th century. Although emptied of its furniture, the interior has retained its fireplaces, its wood panelling, its painted overdoors, alcoves and ceilings with exposed beams some of which retain traces of painted decoration.
