Maison forte dont l'aspect tant extérieur qu'intérieur résulte de deux campagnes de travaux majeures. La première fut entreprise en 1624 et conférât à la bâtisse une silhouette fortifiée avec chemin de ronde, échauguettes ainsi que de grandes fenêtres à croisées de pierres servant à éclairer les salles du premier étage dotées de plafonds peints à la française. La seconde campagne eut lieu au 18ème siècle. Elle permit de procéder à des aménagements de confort : mise en place d'un avant-corps plat en façade et d'un escalier à jour central avec garde-corps en ferronnerie. Le premier étage est modifié par la création de pièces lambrissées à plafonds plâtrés. Les gypseries de belle qualité du salon du rez-de-chaussée datent probablement d'une campagne de travaux des années 1780. Plafonds peints à la française.

History
Fortified house whose appearance both exterior and interior results from two major campaigns of work. The first was undertaken in 1624 and conferred on the building a fortified silhouette with a walk, corner turrets and large stone mullion windows serving to light the rooms of the first storey furnished with ceilings painted in the French manner. The second campaign took place in the 18th century. It allowed for comfort improvements to be carried out: installation of a flat avant-corps on the façade and a central open staircase with ironwork railings. The first storey is modified by the creation of panelled rooms with plaster ceilings. The fine quality plasterwork of the ground-floor salon probably dates from a campaign of works of the 1780s.
