Ce château est l'un des rares témoignages de château du 14e siècle dans le nord de la Lozère. Il n'a subi que peu de transformations. De plan presque carré, l'édifice est élevé de trois étages, surmontés par un chemin de ronde à mâchicoulis. La façade sud est flanquée de deux tours circulaires et percée de trois fenêtres par étage. La porte d'entrée à bossage et fronton interrompu est une transformation du 17e siècle. Des bâtiments ont été ajoutés du côté nord au 17e siècle (un linteau de cheminée porte la date de 1620). Aux angles de cette façade se trouvent deux échauguettes en encorbellement.

History
This castle is one of the rare testimonies of a 14th-century castle in northern Lozère. It has undergone only few transformations. Of almost square plan, the edifice is raised three storeys, topped by a crenellated parapet. The south façade is flanked by two circular towers and pierced by three windows per storey. The entrance door with rustication and interrupted pediment is a transformation of the 17th century. Buildings were added on the north side in the 17th century (a fireplace lintel bears the date 1620). At the angles of this façade are found two machicolated corner turrets.
