L'ancienne église abbatiale a été commencée en 1457 par l'abbé Antoine de Rosène et consacrée en 1535. Elle comprend un vaste choeur à abside polygonale et un transept. Le tout est recouvert de voûtes en pierre, à nervures entrecroisées au départ, et portées sur des culs de lampes à feuillages. La nef n'a jamais été construite. Une petite crypte du 14e siècle (dite glaisette, corruption d'églisette, petite église) subsiste à son origine. Dans la face sud des travées de choeur se voient deux baies avec appuis à balustres, communiquant avec les bâtiments de l'ancienne abbaye. Des boiseries du 18e siècle, avec stalles, habillent l'intérieur du choeur. Une vaste salle dépendant des anciens bâtiments abbatiaux existe au-dessus du transept. Une assez grande distance sépare l'église de son clocher, situé en avant de la façade ouest. Cette tour aurait été élevée comme clocher de 1499 à 1521. De son portail ne subsiste qu'une amorce à l'angle nord-ouest. Un pilastre Renaissance, décoré d'une riche ornementation, s'élève au-dessus d'une niche et porte à son sommet une statue.

History
The former abbey church was begun in 1457 by the abbot Antoine de Rosène and consecrated in 1535. It comprises a vast choir with polygonal apse and a transept. The whole is covered with stone vaults, with ribs interlacing at the start, and borne on corbels with foliage. The nave was never constructed. A small crypt of the 14th century (called glaisette, corruption of églisette, small church) survives in its original location. In the south face of the bays of the choir are seen two openings with baluster sills, communicating with the buildings of the former abbey. 18th-century woodwork, with stalls, lines the interior of the choir. A vast room depending on the former abbey buildings exists above the transept. A fairly great distance separates the church from its bell tower, situated in front of the west façade. This tower would have been raised as a bell tower from 1499 to 1521. Of its portal only a beginning remains at the north-west angle. A Renaissance pilaster, decorated with rich ornamentation, rises above a niche and bears at its top a statue.
