Mentionné dans les compoix à partir du 15e siècle. Au 18e siècle, l'hôtel appartint au trésorier de France Castan. Au moment de la construction de la façade, du portail et de l'escalier, soit la seconde moitié du 17e siècle, l'édifice appartenait à Noble Pierre de Sengla, docteur et avocat. La façade a été soigneusement décorée en dépit de l'étroitesse de la rue qui interdit tout recul. Elle s'élève sur trois étages, éclairés chacun par quatre grandes fenêtres rectangulaires. Les divisions horizontales sont marquées par de grands bandeaux à larmier. La corniche supérieure, elle-même surmontée par un petit étage sous comble, est moulurée de filets, d'une grande doucine, d'un larmier, d'une règle, d'un filet, d'un quart-de-rond et d'un listel. Elle est divisée, dans sa longueur, en quatre segments égaux par trois têtes sculptées, de style baroque. Aux deux extrémités se trouvent des gargouilles figurant l'avant-corps d'un lion. Au-dessous de la corniche, une grande frise sculptée de rinceaux court tout au long de la façade. Le portail, très large, s'ouvre à droite de cette façade et, par deux couloirs voûtés, donne accès à une cour dont la largeur a été réduite pour laisser place au grand escalier. Celui-ci dessert à la fois les appartements de maître, situés en façade, et les dépendances, groupées au fond de la parcelle.

Mentioned in the compoix from the 15th century onwards. In the 18th century, the hotel belonged to the treasurer of France Castan. At the time of the construction of the façade, the portal and the staircase, that is the second half of the 17th century, the building belonged to Noble Pierre de Sengla, doctor and lawyer. The façade has been carefully decorated despite the narrowness of the street which prevents any setback. It rises on three storeys, each lit by four large rectangular windows. The horizontal divisions are marked by large bands with drip mouldings. The upper cornice, itself surmounted by a small storey under roof space, is moulded with fillets, a large cyma, a drip moulding, a rule, a fillet, a quarter-round and a listel. It is divided, along its length, into four equal segments by three sculpted heads, in baroque style. At both ends are found gargoyles depicting the front quarters of a lion. Below the cornice, a large frieze sculpted with scrollwork runs all along the façade. The portal, very wide, opens to the right of this façade and, by two vaulted corridors, gives access to a courtyard whose width has been reduced to make room for the grand staircase. This staircase serves both the apartments of the master, situated on the façade, and the dependencies, grouped at the end of the plot.
