History
During the 18th century, numerous country houses were built in the countryside around Montpellier. Two projecting sections built at ground level and covered with terraces close the entrance courtyard. The façade facing the park, in dressed ashlar, overlooks a large terrace with descending steps to the parterres. The water buffet, situated in the park, is backed against a wall and forms a motif at the end of an avenue. It is embellished with incrustations of coloured glass, shells and frescoes in trompe-l'oeil. The small aqueduct ends with a sculptured fountain.
