Historique

History
Fortified castle attested since around 1100. No apparent vestige remains of the feudal castle of the 12th century. The castle is rebuilt in the 18th century, leaving subsisting from the former dwelling of the 16th century only the north entrance. This door, surmounted by three arcs with machicolations, is especially remarkable for the detail of the ornamentation of the facings (heads, masks, vegetative decoration, ...). The castle is composed of two storeys over a ground floor; two entrance doors with old leaves give access to a great vestibule and a staircase with wrought-iron handrail. To the right of the vestibule, a great music room has been fitted out over two levels (ground floor and first floor); a corbelled gallery fitted with an ironwork handrail surrounds it on three sides; it is decorated with gypsum panels with ribboned trophies.
