History
These cylindrical masonry masses appear formerly to have supported an aqueduct supplying water, from a source located on the flank of a hill to the west, to an ancient villa situated at Veyran. According to tradition, another pile would have existed to the west of the alignment of the two masonry masses still in place, and would have been demolished by the route IC136E. Even further to the west, a fourth pile is visible but toppled. The two masonry masses have a diameter of two metres and are faced with small dressed stone.
