Historique
Le donjon, conservé sur trois niveaux, édifié en pierres à bossages appareillées et percé d'une porte à tympan monolithe surmonté d'un arc plein cintre, pourrait dater du début du 13e siècle. L'esplanade intérieure est enclose par le mur d'enceinte préservé sur toute sa hauteur. Le chemin de ronde est bordé d'un parapet plein, percé d'embrasures de tirs qui ont dû faire l'objet de nombreuses reprises. Aucune tour ne flanque cet ensemble, mais des consoles indiquent la présence d'échauguettes aux angles. L'entrée semble postérieure, avec sa large ouverture et sa grande arcade à claveaux. Aucune habitation ne subsiste à l'intérieur, hormis deux salles voûtées dont l'une semble avoir servi de citerne.

History
The keep, preserved over three levels, built of dressed rusticated stone and pierced by a door with a monolithic tympanum surmounted by a round arch, could date from the early 13th century. The interior esplanade is enclosed by the curtain wall preserved over its entire height. The wall-walk is bordered by a solid parapet, pierced by firing embrasures which must have undergone numerous repairs. No tower flanks this ensemble, but corbels indicate the presence of watch-turrets at the angles. The entrance appears later, with its wide opening and large arcade with voussoirs. No dwelling survives inside, except two vaulted rooms, one of which appears to have served as a cistern.
