Historique
L'immeuble, d'origine ancienne, a été profondément modifié au 18e siècle. De cette époque datent les ferronneries de la porte et de l'escalier, ainsi que le heurtoir de cuivre. La porte, sous linteau cintré, présente une imposte en fer forgé. Un remplage de volutes entrecroisées entoure un médaillon central circulaire qui contient un monogramme. Au vantail de droite est fixé un masque léonin, en cuivre coulé. Les épaulements sont ciselés de guillochures et de rinceaux. Un vestibule donne accès à l'escalier, composé de deux volées droites raccordées par une volée tournante. La rampe en fer forgé est constituée par de grands panneaux droits ou tournants, séparés tantôt par des balustres, tantôt par de simples barreaux verticaux. Chaque grand panneau comprend un important motif central, une fleur à cinq pétales dissymétriques, attachés à la base à une épaisse volute en C, couchée.

History
The building, of ancient origin, was profoundly modified in the 18th century. Dating from this period are the ironwork of the door and the staircase, as well as the copper knocker. The door, under a curved lintel, presents a wrought-iron fanlight. A tracery of interlaced scrolls surrounds a central circular medallion which contains a monogram. To the right leaf is fixed a leonine mask, in cast copper. The shoulders are chiselled with guilloche and scrollwork. A vestibule gives access to the staircase, composed of two straight flights connected by a turn-around flight. The wrought-iron railing consists of large straight or turning panels, separated sometimes by balusters, sometimes by simple vertical bars. Each large panel comprises an important central motif, a flower with five asymmetrical petals, attached at the base to a thick C-scroll, laid horizontally.
