La façade sur la place Jean Jaurès se compose de trois étages aux fenêtres surbaissées. L'entrée est située sous le passage voûté qui donne également accès à la rue Tailhade. Au delà du passage voûté, une tourelle en quart de cercle s'appuyant sur une trompe, assure la communication entre le palier du premier étage et les pièces voisines. La porte d'entrée donne accès à un vestibule voûté, suivi du grand escalier qui s'élève sur trois volées entre le rez-de-chaussée et le premier étage. En raison de l'obliquité des murs, les marches vont en diminuant. La rampe en fer forgé est composée d'une succession de petits panneaux de deux types alternés : motif central à tige verticale feuillue, entourée par deux volutes dessinant un coeur et demi-volute formant un quadrilatère échancré. Le reste du remplage comprend des volutes. Ces panneaux sont séparés de la main courante par une série de C couchés alternés. Les premier et deuxième étages sont reliés par un escalier à deux volées puis à vis.

History
The façade on the place Jean Jaurès is composed of three storeys with depressed windows. The entrance is situated under the vaulted passage which also gives access to the rue Tailhade. Beyond the vaulted passage, a quarter-circle turret resting on a squinch, ensures communication between the landing of the first floor and the neighbouring rooms. The entrance door gives access to a vaulted vestibule, followed by the grand staircase which rises over three flights between the ground floor and the first floor. Due to the obliquity of the walls, the steps diminish. The wrought-iron ramp is composed of a succession of small panels of two alternating types: central motif with leafy vertical stem, surrounded by two scrolls drawing a heart and half-scroll forming a bevelled quadrilateral. The rest of the infill comprises scrolls. These panels are separated from the handrail by a series of alternating recumbent C's. The first and second floors are connected by a staircase with two flights then a spiral.
