Historique
L'ancien hôtel du marquis de la Place, édifice du 17e siècle, fut détruit par les bombardements d'août 1944. Cette porte en est le seul vestige. L'ouverture en plein cintre est encadrée de deux pilastres toscans à bossages, supportant un entablement orné de triglyphes. Le fronton curviligne est interrompu dans son centre et orné d'un motif. La clé est ornée d'une tête féminine.

History
The former hotel of the marquis de la Place, a building of the 17th century, was destroyed by bombing in August 1944. This door is its sole vestige. The round-arch opening is framed by two Tuscan pilasters with bosses, supporting an entablature decorated with triglyphs. The curved pediment is interrupted at its centre and decorated with a motif. The keystone is decorated with a female head.
