Historique

History
The presbytery occupies an old medieval fortin. Within the same military enclosure is the church. The military construction dates probably to the time of the disputes which the kings of France had with the papacy, during the first years of the 14th century. This fortification was taken and pillaged in 1369. In the course of repairs, the church was added. The moulding and architectural forms of this second building show the style of the last years of the 14th century or the beginning of the 15th. Around the same time, the crowning of the ramparts was modified, the crenellations and merlons replaced by embrasures for firearms.
