The church depended, for temporal matters, on the diocese of Toulouse and, for spiritual matters, on the diocese of Mirepoix. The nave and sanctuary are built in brick and have been rehandled and modified several times. The remarkable part is confined to the end wall with the portal and bell tower, built in brick. The portal opens in axis with a wide splay. The splays are furnished with four tori, separated by fillets. The archivolt presents the same profiles. Tori and fillets are cut from brick. The tops of the small columns had as many ashlar capitals in sandstone, on polygonal plan, with circular astragal. The inner frame, remade, is visibly more recent than the rest of the portal. It is round-arched, the edge worked with a quarter-round between fillets. Higher up, above the level of the roofs, are aligned six large bell openings in round arch, dating no doubt from 1785. Above rise three acute gables more recent, the central gable with three openings and the side gables with one small opening each. That is a total of eleven openings containing as many bells of different sizes.
