Historique
La première mention certaine du pont date de 1759. L'ancien chemin de Lagrasse à Carcassonne franchissait ce pont après avoir traversé les pentes de la montagne de la Coque. Pour éviter ce parcours accidenté, une nouvelle route a été ouverte à la fin du 19e siècle, dans les gorges de l'Alsou, laissant au nord l'ancien tracé et le pont. L'ouvrage est à deux arches. Pile à avant-becs à assises en retraites. Voûtes en plein cintre entièrement appareillée. De part et d'autre de chaque culée, des murs en aile, bas, maintiennent le déblai. Accolée à la culée nord, côté aval, existe une construction cylindrique dont l'accès se fait par un étroit passage couvert. Ce dernier est recouvert par une coupole en blocage, creusée en son sommet d'une ouverture carrée encadrée par quatre blocs.

History
The first certain mention of the bridge dates from 1759. The old road from Lagrasse to Carcassonne crossed this bridge after traversing the slopes of the mountain of la Coque. To avoid this rough route, a new road was opened at the end of the 19th century, through the gorges of the Alsou, leaving to the north the old line and the bridge. The structure is of two arches. Pier with cutwater at recessed courses. Vaults of round arch entirely ashlar. On either side of each abutment, low wing walls maintain the embankment. Attached to the north abutment, downstream side, exists a cylindrical construction whose access is by a narrow covered passage. The latter is covered by a vault in rubble stone, hollowed at its summit by a square opening framed by four blocks.
