History
The church is mentioned from 1162 onwards. The curacy was at the presentation of the abbot of Alet, later of the bishop of Alet, lord of the place. The bishops of Alet resided there after the destruction, by the Huguenots, of their residence at Alet. The building has a single nave, without side chapels. The semicircular apse is not in ashlar stone but in round pebbles, with many bricks of recent manufacture in the joints.
