Historique

History
The castle was built from 1703 by the engineer Aillet for François Bavoux, lord of Larret, on the ruins of a medieval fortress definitively destroyed in 1388 by the troops of the Duke of Burgundy. The ensemble is distributed according to two schemes of space organization, namely the medieval vestiges with concentric enclosures and ditches, and the 18th-century buildings organized according to a west-east axis, on either side of a forecourt and a court of honour. In the 19th century, the buildings were altered (volume of the dependencies, façades and interior arrangements of the main dwelling). The main dwelling retains, on the ground floor, the wainscoting as well as the 18th-century fireplaces.
