Historique
Une maison-forte fut érigée, en 1408, par un conseiller de Jean-sans-Peur. Le château, de plan rectangulaire à quatre tours sur les angles, est entouré d'un fossé en eau avec pont-levis. Si le plan de la maison-forte d'origine est préservé, de nombreux ajouts, restaurations et développements furent apportés au cours des siècles suivants jusqu'au début du 19ème siècle. Ainsi, une aile et la cage d'escalier furent réalisées au 16ème siècle. Une extension, réalisée aux 17ème et 18ème siècles, compléta l'aile nord des communs ainsi que l'aile sud du logis. Enfin, une chapelle fut aménagée au 19ème siècle et de nouvelles écuries et remises furent construites.

History
A maison-forte was erected in 1408 by a counsellor of Jean-sans-Peur. The castle, of rectangular plan with four corner towers, is surrounded by a water-filled moat with drawbridge. While the plan of the original maison-forte is preserved, numerous additions, restorations and developments were made over the following centuries until the early 19th century. Thus, a wing and the stairwell were constructed in the 16th century. An extension, made in the 17th and 18th centuries, completed the north wing of the outbuildings as well as the south wing of the main dwelling. Finally, a chapel was arranged in the 19th century and new stables and storage buildings were constructed.
