Construite à la fin du 15ème siècle ou au début du 16ème siècle, la demeure a connu des modernisations au 18ème siècle et, principalement, au 19ème siècle (réalisation dun nouveau bâtiment, percée de baies). Lhistoire locale attribue cette maison à Balthazard Gérard, lassassin de Guillaume dOrange, en 1584. Lédifice conserve des aspects significatifs de la maison bourgeoise de la fin du 15ème ou début du 16ème siècle : le portail au décor gothique flamboyant, les baies visibles sur les deux façades, ainsi que les vestiges dune chapelle et une partie des dispositions des salles.

History
Built at the end of the 15th century or beginning of the 16th century, the dwelling underwent modernisations in the 18th century and, principally, in the 19th century (creation of a new building, opening of windows). Local history attributes this house to Balthazard Gérard, the assassin of William of Orange, in 1584. The building preserves significant aspects of the bourgeois house of the late 15th or early 16th century: the portal with flamboyant Gothic decoration, the openings visible on both façades, as well as the vestiges of a chapel and part of the arrangement of the rooms.
