Cet ancien moulin fortifié a été édifié vers 1470 pour Louis de Beaumont, lieutenant de Charles VII et qui devint lun des proches de Louis XI. Ce dernier logea au moulin lorsquil vint chasser à Missé en 1472 et 1473. Cet édifice, qui ressemble à un château par ses dimensions et son apparence, est doté de très hautes toitures dardoise. Lune de ses croisées est armoriée. En partie ruiné dès le début du 20e siècle, le moulin a bénéficié de travaux de restauration qui lui ont permis de retrouver son aspect dautrefois. Il abrite actuellement une discothèque.

History
This former fortified mill was built around 1470 for Louis de Beaumont, lieutenant of Charles VII and who became one of the close associates of Louis XI. The latter stayed at the mill when he came to hunt at Missé in 1472 and 1473. This building, which resembles a castle by its dimensions and appearance, is fitted with very high slate roofs. One of its windows is armorial. Partly ruined from the beginning of the 20th century, the mill benefited from restoration work which allowed it to regain its former appearance. It currently houses a nightclub.
