Cette demeure de maître drapier est l'un des deux seuls exemples de construction en pierre du début du 17e siècle qui subsiste dans la rue Eau-de-Robec. History
This dwelling of a master cloth merchant is one of the only two surviving examples of stone construction from the early 17th century in the rue Eau-de-Robec. Built overhanging the Robec, its façade, in calcaire ashlar stone on the two first levels, is treated in rustication and decorated with sculptured motifs inspired by engraved plates from the School of Antwerp circulated by Flemish cloth merchants established in Rouen. The timber framing of the three upper storeys dates from the 18th century. The house was probably elevated at that time by one or two storeys.
