In 1785 and 1792, Louis-Henri Delarue acquired a vast plot of land between rue Guynemer and the cours du Puchot in order to build a woollen mill, a dyeworks and a hotel. The weaving workshops were constructed around a rectangular courtyard which is closed off by the main dwelling on rue Guynemer. The workshops consist of a ground floor in ashlar limestone with rustication and two storeys in timber framing with St Andrew's crosses on the window sills. The dyeworks, today destroyed, spanned the Puchot. On 3 November 1802, the manufactory received a visit from the First Consul Bonaparte. A plaque commemorating this event is still visible. At this date, the main dwelling was moved to the west. Its ordered façade, ashlar in limestone, was then oriented towards the park. In 1842, Delarue took advantage of the construction of rue de la Halle to build a new main dwelling in brick and stone with toothed bonding. Today, part of the workshops has disappeared.
