History
The construction of the château began in the 16th century (significant remains in the lower parts), but the building as a whole dates from the 17th century; it was remodelled and refurbished in the 18th century, notably in its central part, then in the early 19th century for the interior of the chapel. The original interior arrangements are preserved: principal rooms on the ground floor (18th-century sculptured and painted decoration); rooms retaining woodwork and fireplaces from the 18th and 19th centuries; chapel with wooden lining with a tribune at three levels. The château is completed by a substantial complex of outbuildings and dependencies arranged around a courtyard.
