A la fin du 18e siècle, Auguste Fauquet fait édifier au coeur de la ville, de part et d'autre d'un passage, deux fabriques jumelées construites en brique enduite, à rez-de-chaussée entresolé et un étage carré où sont tissés des mouchoirs en coton. Les travées, sur le passage, sont rythmées par une série d'arcatures. Au début du 19e siècle, un logis en pierre de taille calcaire, avec un fronton décoré d'une scène mythologique, est édifié en fond de cour. Une fontaine réalisée par Ducel, artiste-fondeur, est présente dans la cour. L'activité des deux fabriques est encore attestée en 1847.

History
At the end of the 18th century, Auguste Fauquet had erected in the heart of the town, on either side of a passage, two paired factories constructed in rendered brick, with a ground floor with mezzanine and a square storey where cotton handkerchiefs are woven. The bays, on the passage, are rhythmed by a series of arcatures. In the early 19th century, a dwelling in dressed calcareous stone, with a pediment decorated with a mythological scene, is erected at the back of the courtyard. A fountain created by Ducel, artist-founder, is present in the courtyard. The activity of the two factories is still attested in 1847.
