Dès le 11e siècle, l'église était la possession de l'abbaye Saint-Martial de Limoges. Elle établit par la suite un petit prieuré habité par deux moines au 13e siècle. Ce prieuré fut rattaché, sous Saint-Louis, à l'aumônerie du monastère. Le prieuré fut supprimé en 1535 et uni à la mense capitulaire. Le choeur roman est pentagonal. Intérieurement, le choeur est plus étroit que la nef et comprend une travée droite qui précède l'abside. L'arcade centrale possède une mouluration limousine. Dans la nef s'ouvre une chapelle de plan carré, aux angles extérieurs arrondis. La voûte est en arc bombé.

History
From the 11th century, the church was the possession of the abbey of Saint-Martial of Limoges. It subsequently established a small priory inhabited by two monks in the 13th century. This priory was attached, under Saint-Louis, to the almshouse of the monastery. The priory was suppressed in 1535 and united to the capitular table. The Romanesque chevet is pentagonal. Internally, the chevet is narrower than the nave and comprises a straight bay preceding the apse. The central arcade has Limousin moulding. In the nave opens a chapel of square plan, with rounded exterior angles. The vault is in a bombed arch.
